We are really excited to announce that Carsten Eickhoff will spend his sabbatical at the IRLab. Carsten is a professor at Brown University, where he leads the Biomedical Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory, at Brown’s Center for Biomedical Informatics. Carsten is well-known for his work on crowdsourcing, search user modeling and, most recently, data-driven clinical decision support. During his sabbatical, which will start in January 2022, he will study transparent and explainable retrieval models and search interfaces.
